Coffin

So this dream was a sad one. I dreamed that granddaddy had died (again). I was responsible for his burial so the coffin was flown to where I lived -- Christine's parents' house. We were given instructions on when and where to pick up the coffin at a large New York airport. Christine picked it up and I remember being impressed that she did it all by herself. The coffin was in the old living room next to the piano. I was alone with it but waited for Christine to open it. We opened it and saw Grandaddy. I thought he was wearing something similar to his first funeral. We touched his head and he started to move. He turned into my dad and we talked to him. He said he was tired and in pain. I said at least you get to rest all day. The end.

Park & Rob

I forgot about a dream two nights ago, after busting suspect #2. Christine and I were driving at night in the parking lot behind the Park Restaurant. We were in her car but my car was parked back there too. I realized I left my left blinker on so I asked Christine to pull into a spot. She did so at the other side of the lot. I got out of the car and started walking toward my car. There were two guys sitting on a bench. One got up and started following me. I knew he was trying to rob me so I turned toward Main St. He started to speed up so I began to run. I got to Main and nobody was around. It was dead. I started running south, then woke up. My heartbeat was accelerated.

Suspect #2

So last night I went to bed early but then couldn't fall asleep. Once I did I felt I tossed and turned all night. While not providing good rest, this usually produces good dreams that are easily remembered.

In my dream, one of the Boston marathon bombers was still at large. I think suspect two escaped after being captured and was on the run again. We were on lockdown. I was home alone in apartment 3A. It was a beautiful, clear, and warm night. Although I was told to stay inside I couldn't resist the urge to sit at the bistro table on the fire escape and watch the sky. There were no cops out, let alone anyone. I figured the suspect was no where near. I sat for over an hour without seeing or hearing another soul.

Suddenly something caught my eye down below. I saw a man walking through the yard and into my neighbor's garage. "Is that him?" I wondered. I quietly got out of the chair and onto the floor. I whipped out my phone and got it ready to record. After a while a truck came speeding around the yard. It was an old, white Dodge Ram. I hit the record button. The truck screeched to a stop at the garage. A man opened the door and the suspect jumped into the truck. I snuck inside and continued to film through the blinds. They sped away, rounding the block once and then heading east. I watched the video, making sure I got it all, and I called the cops. I was so anxious it took me three tries to get the right number. I called them and told them everything. When I hung up I realized that I would go down as the guy who tipped the cops.

I went to work the next day. Steph complained that it took me over an hour to do night drop. I explained that Carlos wanted to talk to me and Ricky for a while about being careful while this guys was still on the loose.

Comforting Friends

Last night in my dream I was waiting somewhere to meet with my small group. Tabea was the first to show up. I greeted her but she looked very sad. I asked her what was wrong and she said AnnSo's mom had died in Germany. She began to cry and a hugged her tight. I said it's ok, it's hard losing a mom. As I remembered she was AnnSo's cousin I added that it's hard to lose an aunt. I felt like she was comforted which made me happy. Later in the dream I learned that one of my kids from YL in CT was the younger brother of another YL kid in CT. Later on I was walking in this high school in a huge stairwell. AnnSo was one flight above me and she was laughing because I took the wrong stairway and ended up at a dead end.
